How to report a bug

The faster we can reproduce it, the faster it gets fixed. Good bug reports get fixed fast; “it’s broken” reports sit in a queue.

Not a bug report: login problems, billing, account access → use in-app Support instead.

Before you post: search Bugs & platform for your issue first someone may have already reported it. If you find a match, reply there with your own details instead of opening a new topic; duplicates just split the information we need.

One bug per report. If you’re hitting two unrelated issues, post two topics it’s the only way we can track and close them separately.

When posting a bug, include:

What happened? (one sentence)

Steps to reproduce:
1.
2.
3.

What should have happened?

What actually happened? (the real error text, not a paraphrase copy/paste it)

Environment:

  • Which host? (app / assess / take)
  • Browser + OS
  • Track / case name if relevant
  • Approximate time (with timezone)
  • Request ID or trace ID, if you have one (check the error message or browser console this helps us find it in logs fast)

Screenshots / error text (redact tokens, passwords, and any personal data before posting)

How bad is it?
Cosmetic / annoying / can’t finish my task / whole page broken

What happens next: we’ll confirm we can reproduce it, tag it, and update the thread when it’s fixed or if we need more info from you. If we can’t reproduce it from what’s posted, we’ll ask the more detail up front, the less back-and-forth.
